So many times out here

Of lovers walking in the night
They had a kind of glow around them
It almost looked like heaven's light

Maplestar is telling a story of why she should never fall in love with another cat to a young kit.

She is telling this story in first person, remembering the time her first love, her mentor, was killed on the dawn patrol battle against ShadowClan. 

Warning: Maplestar doesn't hate ShadowClan, She just doesn't like the warrior (whose name to be determined) that killed her first love. I am not plagiarizing Bluestar's Prophecy seeing that Bluestar/paw lost her mother in a fight with another warrior in a raid patrol. This one is entirely different.
